This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply the skills and knowledge to pursue a career as an athlete at a regional, state or territory level.

Those undertaking this qualification should hold a scholarship with an Institute of Sport, be a member of a state, territory or national team, squad or development program, a state, territory or national talent development program or a member of a second tier national competition.
 

To take a career as a professional athlete, one should hold a scholarship with an Institute of Sport, be a member of a state, territory or national team, Squad or development program, a state, territory or national talent development program or a member of a second tier national competition.


Skills and knowledge to undertake a career as a professional athlete include training for events, assessing Competitors and Conditions at the venues, Consulting with Coaches to determine appropriate strategies, Competing and undertaking promotional duties.

Ace Sports Academy employs a team of highly experienced trainers and assessors to ensure quality training and assessment is provided to every student.
A range of assessment methods are used to assess practical skills and knowledge including: 
 

  • Performing practical demonstrations 

  • Interviews and Research 

  • Written or Oral Questioning 

  • Working in real life sport, fitness and recreation environments.
